Order Process

The order process is very simple.

1. Fill out the order form and email or mail me your photographs.
2. After I receive your information and photos (if required), I will get to work on your design.
   Your first proof & price quote will be sent to you via email within two business days (during busy times they can take up to five days). A proof is an on-line viewing of your card. I do not print until you are completely satisfied.
3. Next you will need to review your proof very carefully for any mistakes. After the proof is approved for print, Crystal Scott Design can not be liable for any typo's or misprints.
4. After you give your approval of the proof and complete payment via PayPal, your order will be printed, the printing process usually takes between two and five days, and then your order will be sent to you UPS ground.

Can I place my order with you over the phone?

Yes, I can be reached at 256.845.1800 during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Central Standard Time.) Any calls placed after hours will be returned the following business day. Please note though, that I still require online payment or a check via snail mail. I do not have the ability to accept credit cards over the phone.

How do I send you pictures?

You can email them to me at crystal@crystalscottdesign.com or if you need to mail them, please email me and I can provide you with the address to mail them to.

Can you edit the photographs or do I need to?

Yes, I prefer the untouched photographs. I can change the photographs to black and white and crop them. There is no extra charge for editing the photographs.

Why should the file sizes of my photographs be large?

I need the file sizes of the photographs to be large so that the announcement can reflect the quality of the high resolution picture. The size of the file is important because I can not enlarge a picture that is too small without compromising the quality of the announcement. Please do not shrink your photographs before sending them to me! To ensure the file sizes stay large, only send 1-3 pictures per email. Also, please be sure your digital camera is set to its highest resolution before taking any photographs.

Can I send in professional photographs?

Yes, but you will need to have a signed release from the photographer allowing me to use the photographs.

What if I like a design in the Design Gallery, but I want to change parts of it, can I?

Yes, all designs are custom made, so you can alter or change any design I have! Just tell me any ideas that you do have, and we will work together to get your cards exactly the way you want it. If there is a design in the gallery that you love, I can use that design as inspiration for your own. If you're not sure what you want, no problem -- just leave it up to me to design something uniquely yours.

What are the photo cards printed on?

The photo cards are printed on professional photographic paper with a matte finish. It resists fingerprints and is guaranteed to last a life time. The photo cards are offered in size 4x8 or 5x7.

What are the invitations printed on?

The invitations are printed on white linen, 80# card stock. The invitations are offered in size 5x7 or 5.5x8.5

What are the note cards printed on?

The folded and flat note cards are printed on white linen, 80# card stock or a beautiful smooth soft ivory card stock. The folded notes are offered in size 5.5 x 4.25 size. The flat notes are offered in size 5x7. The note cards are sold in sets of 10, with a mininum order of 20.

Are envelopes included with my order?

Yes.  A quality white envelope with a square flat is included with each announcement or invitation order. White envelopes with a silver or gold foil inside liner are also available upon request for 5x7 cards. Vellum and other specialty envelopes are also available for an additional cost.

Can I have my return address printed on my envelopes?

Yes, you can have your return address printed on your envelopes. You can also get a coordinating design printed with your return address.

What if I need to cancel my order?

I understand that circumstances may require a cancellation of an order. If you are canceling your order before your proof has been worked on, there is no charge. If you have received your proof and/or any edits, there will be a $50 cancellation charge due to time spent working on your order.
